Peterborough United have confirmed their scheduled League One fixture at Leyton Orient on Saturday, September 7 has been postponed because of international call-ups.

Clubs can call a game off if three players are called up for international duty and the Londoners have now exercised that right. Posh are currently expecting Hector Kyprianou and Sam Curtis to be away with Cyprus and the Republic of Ireland Under 21s respectively, while Chris Conn-Clarke is on standby for a Northern Ireland squad. Cyprus are playing Lithuania (away, September 6) and Kosovo (home, September 9) in Nations League matches, while the Republic of Ireland Under 21 team are in Turkey (September 6) and at home to Latvia (September 10) in European CHampionship qualifiers.

Players have to have started a first-team fixture this season to count towards a postponement so Posh defender George Nevett would not count if he is called up by a Welsh age group squad. No rearranged date for the Orient game has been set.
