There are a couple of managers in the list as well.

5. SIMON RUSK (right).
Bretton boy Rusk was a youth team player at Posh, but failed to make a senior appearance for the club. He played professionally for Boston United among others, but made his name as a talented coach, running Brighton Under 21s for six years. County appointed him as manager when they were a National League club, but he was sacked after he failed to get them promoted. Rusk coached Southampton Under 21s and acted as first team head coach until he left the club last summer. He is currently unattached. Photo: Joe Dent

6. TOMMY ROWE
Rowe was a winger who emerged through the Stockport County youth team. After scoring the only goal of a game against a Posh team that would be promoted from League Two, Rowe was called 'as good as George Boyd' by County boss Jim Gannon. Posh took him from Stockport in the summer of 2009 and he went on to make 199 appearances for the club, scoring 27 goals including the first in a the 2011 League One play-off final win over Huddersfield Town at Old Trafford. Rowe is now coaching Manchester United's Under 15 side. Photo: david lowndes

7. JIM GANNON
Gannon was a top player and manager at County. He played in the 1992 Wembley play-off final defeat at the hands of Posh. He managed Posh for just 14 games in the latter stages of a Championship relegation season. Posh wanted him to stay on, but Gannon wanted to move back up North. He ended up managing County three times in total and won National League North with them. Photo: Alan Storer

8. CARL PIERGIANNI
Famously youth team graduate PIergianni played just a minute for the Posh first team, as a substitute in a 2-1 home win over Rochdale in December 2010. The centre-back joined non-league Stockport County at the end of that season and played 44 games in his one campaign for them.
