Posh host Grant McCann’s Hull City in a battle between the top two in League One tomorrow (March 9, 7pm kick off). Hull overtook Posh on goal difference over the weekend as they beat Bristol Rovers while Darren Ferguson’s side lost at Burton Albion. Posh have played two fewer games than the Tigers.

“It’s been a long time to play without fans,” Ferguson stated. “From early on we all feared we wouldn’t see tham all season and to be fair players from all clubs seem to have coped pretty well.

“But what a reward for our fans if the next game they were able to come to watch was in the Championship. It wouldn’t make up for missing this season, but it would help.”

Posh players all passed their Covid tests today and there are no fresh injuries to report. Top scorer Jonson Clarke-Harris is available, while Ethan Hamilton is set to continue in midfield in place of long-term injury victim Jack Taylor.
