Posh travel to face Matty Etherington’s Colchester safe in the knowledge that they are already into the knockout round.
Only an unlikely 4-0 would see them knocked off top spot in the group and even that would be a learning opportunity for Posh rather than a disaster.
Therefore the PT suggests that this is a great opportunity to give minutes to fringe players as well as taking a proper look at some exciting young players.
9. KAI CORBETT
Almost been overtaken in the pecking order of exciting youngsters and not talked about as much these days but is still around the first team squad and deserves an opportunity. Could interchange with Mothersille from wide on the left to centre forward. Photo: Joe Dent
10. DAVID AJIBOYE
Has played very well this season and did nothing wrong to lose his place. Was just the victim of a game-specific tactical reshuffle and the front four hit form after that. Photo: Joe Dent
11. MALIK MOTHERSILLE
Time to kick on now. I was quite excited about his potential against Spurs U21. Time for him to get match fit and show us what he's about. Photo: Joe Dent
