Peterborough United Under 21s join in the club's goal-scoring fun

Anything the first team can do, Peterborough United Under 21s can match.

Big Posh wins have become the norm in recent days. The League One side beat AFC Wimbledon 5-0 on Saturday, the Under 18s won an FA Youth Cup tie on Monday 6-0 and now the under 21s have beaten Crewe Alexandra 5-0 in a Professional Development League game at the Weston Homes Stadium on Wednesday.

Posh named one of their younger squads of recent weeks which included centre-backs Fabian Claxton and Lucca Mendonca who were in Vertu Trophy action for the senior the night before.

But Posh still proved unstoppable as they recorded a ninth win in 13 games which left them in second place in the Northern section, three points behind leaders Sheffield United and a massive eight points clear of third-placed Hull City.

Despite seeing several chances come their way Posh led just 1-0 at the break through an Eddie Fox goal, but they then scored three times in the first 10 minutes of the second half through Fox, David Kamara and Andre Changunda. Kamara wrapped up the scoring with a rasping shot into the top corner on 73 minutes.

Full-back Noah Freeman had a hand in two of the goals with Changunda also claiming an assist.

Posh are back in Professional Development League action at home to Sheffield Wednesday next Tuesday (November 18).

Posh: Smith, Freeman, Davies, Mendonca (sub Claxton, 59 mins), Aikens, Andrews (sub Triallist B, 46 mins), Changunda, Fox (sub Shofowoke, 70 mins), Kamara, Sykut, Triallist A. Unused Subs: Wescott, McWiliams-Marcano.
