Peterborough United to face League One rivals in first round of the FA Cup

Peterborough United will play League One rivals Oxford United in the first round of the FA Cup.

The teama have met twice before in the competition with Posh winning 4-2 at London Road in 1958 and Oxford winning 2-0 at their old Manor Ground in 1983.

Oxford were known as Headington United in 1958 when both clubs were in non-league football. Dennis Emery (2), Billy Hails and Jim Rayner scored for Posh.

Oxford knocked Posh out of the Carabao Cup at the Kassam Stadium last season. Posh beat Oxford 2-0 in a League One match at the Weston Homes Stadium earlier this month.

The tie will be played between November 6-9.
