Peterborough United sign a former Manchester United midfielder

Peterborough United have signed former Manchester United midfielder Ethan Hamilton.

Hamilton was released by United this summer so there is no transfer fee. The 21 year-old has signed a two-year contract at the Weston Homes Stadium.

Hamilton spent last season on loan at League One strugglers Southend United and Bolton. He was on loan at Rochdale in the 2018-19 season and scored a terrific goal against Posh at London Road on his debut.

Hamilton. who is a Scottish youth international, never appeared for Manchester United, but he was included in a couple of Champions League squads when Jose Mourinho was manager at Old Trafford.

Hamilton has scored six goals in 44 Football League appearances.
