There were several below-par performances as Posh laboured to a 0-0 at home to Salford in the FA Cup last time out but Posh should not dwell on that as they look forward to Saturday’s match against Exeter.
The free-scoring Grecians have taken to life in League One rather well and sit 12th so Posh will need to put in another improved away performance.
With centre-back Frankie Kent suspended there is a choice to make between Kell Watts, Ronnie Edwards and Josh Knight for two places in the side in the 4-3-3.
We’ve assumed wide man Joe Ward and Kwame Poku remain on the sidelines.
1. LUCAS BERGSTROM
Grant McCann has suggested a couple of times recently that Bergstrom has been playing with a slight knock but it's not showing in his performances. Photo: Joe Dent
2. DAN BUTLER
The left-back now has a good number of games in his legs now and just as well too with Joe Tomlinson out of favour and a long-term absentee. Photo: Joe Dent
3. NATHAN THOMPSON
Had a great game against Cambridge and was one of the better performers against Salford. Cemented his place at right-back and with so many games coming up, there is no point in risking Joe Ward from the start even if he is passed fit. Photo: Joe Dent
4. JOSH KNIGHT
An experienced head at the heart of the Posh defence now and slightly unlucky to be left out of the side given the desire to get Ronnie Edwards back into the fold. Posh always look better when he is driving out of defence with the ball. Photo: Joe Dent
