Peterborough United player ratings from an impressive win over Portsmouth the Papa John’s Trophy

Peterborough United’s decision to field a full strength side in tonight’s Papa John’s Trophy tie with Portsmouth at the Weston Homes Stadium was rewarded with a handsome 5-1 victory.

Pompey put out a heavily weakened team, but you can only beat what’s put in front of you and Posh did that impressively to reach the quarter-finals.

Former Pompey player Nathan Thompson was the PT’s man-of-the-match.

Ratings: 10-Perfect, 9-Outstanding, 8-Very Good, 7-Good, 6-Okay, 5-Poor, 4-Very poor.
