Posh boss gave rare opportunities from the start to Harrison Burrows, Idris Kanu and Flynn Clarke and all made firm contributions to the win.
RATINGS KEY: 10- Perfect, 9- Outstanding, 8-Very Good, 7-Good, 6-Okay, 5-Poor, 4 -Very poor.
9.
FLYNN CLARKE: A terrific first-half capped by an assist from a corner for Thompson's goal. He has good strength for a 17 year-old. Tired in the second-half after missing a decent chance to score, but a performance of great promise 8.
10.
SIRIKI DEMBELE: Apart from a couple of bright moments at the start of the second-half the highly-skilled forward failed to shine against a weak defence. Substituted early in the second half after losing the ball once too often 6.
11.
JONSON CLARKE-HARRIS: A rapid hat-trick settled the game in Posh's favour and he generally led the line well. He was strong and he showed a good touch at times. Denied more goals by a good save and a horrible miss in the second-half. Limped off towards the end after yelping in pain 8.5.
12.
SAMMIE SZMODICS (for Clarke, 66 mins): Looked bright and full of running in the final quarter. Came close to scoring, sent a couple of good crosses over 7.
