Posh pretty much played without a recognised centre forward at Stoke City on Saturday (November 20) and despite dominating possession they went down 2-0 after registering just one goal attempt on target in 90 minutes.
The PT also believes if Posh can play well against free-scoring Fulham with a flat back four, they can do again despite the presence in the home camp of bang in-form forward Ben Brereton-Diaz.

. DAI CORNELL
One of the most consistent performers in the starting line-up. Posh will need to find a more experienced back-up than Will Blackmore in January though.
. NATHAN THOMPSON
Another player to be consistently good this season. I'm moving him back to right-back where his attacking ability can come to the fore.
. DAN BUTLER
Left-back is another position that will need strengthening in January, but for now Butler is the best we have in this position. Well that's the assumption as summer signing Joe Tomlinson has disappeared from view.
5. MARK BEEVERS
We'd leave the skipper out if it was a back three. In a four his partnership with Kent is solid enough. They know each other well.
6. OLIVER NORBURN
It's unlikely Posh will enjoy as much possession as they did at Stoke which actually suits Norburn's ball-winning strength and his effective short passing.
7. JACK TAYLOR
Reverting to a flat back four does have the disadvantage of holding Taylor in a deeper midfield position to help protect the centre backs. He needs to get forward and use that shooting power as well though.
8. JOE WARD
Ward showed signs of decent form at Stoke, but was hampered by having no-one of note (physically speaking) to aim his crosses at. That won't be the case if Clarke-Harris plays. It's a wide right role for Ward.
