Peterborough United midfielder called up to full Ireland squad for the first time
Peterborough United midfielder Jack Taylor has received his first call-up to the Ireland senior squad.
The 22 year-old had been due to play for Irwland Under 21s in a European Championship qualifier in Luxembourg on Wednesday (November 18), but instead he will link up with the senior squad for a European Nations League game against Bugaria in Dublin that night.
Taylor said: “This is a proud day for me and my family.”
He is due to return to Peterborough on Thursday and providing he tests negative as per the Covid-19 protocol, will be available for Saturday’s game with Blackpool.
