Peterborough United have been heavily linked with teenage Leyton Orient forward Ruel Sotiriou.

The 19-year-old made nine appearances for ‘the Os’ last season after making his debut on Boxing Day.

He scored six goals before his season was cut short by the coronavirus pandemic.

Sotiriou, who was born in Cyprus, is out of contract at Orient and has yet to accept the offer of a new deal from his current club. He is currently on a weekly deal to protect Orient’s right to a transfer fee should the player decide to leave the Breyer Group Stadium.

Posh have yet to comment on their reported interest, but manager Darren Ferguson did recently hint he could bring in a young player who wouldn’t necessarily go straight into the first team.
