Posh boss Darren Ferguson has revealed back-up goalkeepers Dan Gyollai and Will Blackmore are both currently self-isolating because of covid scares.

Gyollai’s partner and a Blackmore family member both displayed symptoms leading to 10 days of self isolation for the goalkeepers.

“It’s an unusual one to have two goalkeepers absent, but that’s what this virus can do,” Ferguson stated. “We looked around for another goalkeeper, but it would have to be one out of contract and there wasn’t a lot to choose from.

“It’s not an ideal situation, but Tyles is very experienced and he’s a great communicator. He joined in the training session last Friday and he was fine.”

Goalkeeping coach Tyler (43) is the second highest appearance maker in Posh’s Football League history. He has appeared 494 times for the club with his last game a 1-1 home draw with Oldham in March, 2017.

Posh are due to travel to Devon today. Reece Brown and Nathan Thompson are both fit despite finishing the Wimbledon game early.
