Big-money summer signings Jonson Clarke-Harris and Sammie Szmodics plus teenager Flynn Clarke are the current top scorers with two apiece.

Others to have netted are George Boyd, Louis Reed, Niall Mason, Mo Eisa, Jack Taylor and Ryan Broom as well as Nathan Thompson and Reece Brown who claimed their first goals for the club in Saturday’s derby day win at Northampton Town (October 10).

Replacing the 26 goals in a shortened season from Ivan Toney was always going to be an issue for Posh, but spreading them around is one way of doing it.

Posh have scored seven goals in five League One matches so far this season, four fewer than leaders Ipswich Town who have bagged the most.
