Good signing. Powerful and scored goals in a mediocre Bristol Rovers team over the last two seasons.

For the handful saying they are underwhelmed, I’d like to know what they were expecting.

Bristol Rovers fans think he is a bit sulky and he loses the ball too often, but you can’t really argue with his scoring record over the last two years. Hopefully he can hit the ground running - I remember the grumbling around Eisa last year when he hadn’t scored early on.

@romysdad

All depends how much we have paid for him! Did he leave both Coventry and ourselves under a bit of a cloud as a youngster? Hopefully that is all behind him now and we are getting the best years of his career!

Posh do like a double-barrelled name.

@Rockh0pper

If you’re going to sell the best striker in the league, it makes sense to replace him with the second best!

If he’s Toney’s replacement then a bit underwhelming, but he is a proven goalscorer at this level. Might be a sign they are going to push RJJ further on this season which is promising.

@JakeBleu

Very happy with this. He scores goals at this level.

@PellSam

Just what was needed to complete the jigsaw.

@Sweeney95Alex

Decent signing, but would be surprised/disappointed if we have paid anywhere near a million.

@paul_gauntlett

Looks promising from what the Bristol Rovers fans have said. Sounds like he’s improved a lot in last couple of years.
@jwm6

He could be an okay player. Very hard one to predict. He needs to hit the ground running and needs to develop certain aspects of his game. Fee would say too much in this market now for League One. Still would have preferred McNulty.

Great signing. Good goal scoring record last season. He’s joining a bigger and better club now, so he’ll only get better.

@AzThornhill3

Sounds like our type of player. We love a maverick and one who’s a bit rough round the edges it’s what we do.

@MattyAllan96

Given the circumstances, he is probably as good as we can get. Nobody in our price range or pay scale could replace Toney. What we needed to get given Eisa’s and Dembele’s lack of ability in holding the ball up. Think they could gel well together given time.

@Rutlandspinner

Looking at his montage of goals you have to say he could be a great replacement for Big Ivan. I think the club have done it.....yet again!
