Peterborough United confirm their interest in Colchester United winger
Posh have confirmed their interest in Colchester United winger Kyreece Lisbie
Lisbie was strongly linked with a move to Posh by a local newspaper report from Reading on Tuesday, and club director of football Barry Fry has told the PT the 22 year-old is a player of interest. His twin brother Kyrell Lisbie is already at Posh and enjoyed an excellent first season at London Road in 2025-26 with 14 goals and 7 assists.
Kyreece Lisbie also delivered good numbers in his first season at Colchester, scoring 11 goals and displaying form that made him a target of Reading and Oxford United in January. Those League One clubs are believed to retain interest, although a reported £500K-£750k asking price is believed to be a serious obstacle.
Lisbie is about to enter the last season of his Colchester contract so the club could decide to cash in, although the situation is complicated by a possible takeover at the League Two club. A consortium fronted by former Chelsea and England captain John Terry is trying to buy the club from long-term owner Robbie Cowling.
Posh are in the market for wingers as they have placed wide men Abraham Odoh, Cian Hayes and Declan Frith on the transfer list.
