MacAnthony has singled out Wycombe Wanderers boss Gareth Ainsworth for high praise stating: “I know it might irritate Posh fans, but Gareth Ainsworth is my manager of the year in League One. Forget all the other nonsense as Gareth did a great job throughout the season.”
Wycombe were the club to benefit at Posh’s expense from League One final positions being determined by a points-per-game average.
The Chairboys climbed from eighth to third as a result and then won the League One play-offs to reach the Championship for the first time in the club’s history.

Goalkeeper: CHRISTY PYM (Posh). MacAnthony said: "Kept the most clean sheets (15) in League One alongside the Wycombe 'keeper in his first season in League One and when you consider we had seven of the bottom nine teams in League One still to play when the season finished he could have ended up with close to 20 clean sheets.
