Peterborough United announce signing of Burnley forward
Peterborough United have announced the signing of Vernon Masara from Burnley.
Masara can operate anywhere across the forward line and has signed a long-term contract. The fee has been described as undisclosed.
The 19-year-old has come through the youth ranks at Burnley and has only played youth fixtures for the side apart from a brief month long loan to FC United of Manchester in August 2025.
He was named the Burnley Academy Player of the Year in 2023/24 and has yet to make his debut in professional football.
He will wear the number 17 shirt.
Manager Luke Williams said: “Vernon is a player that has been in and around the first team at his previous club for a number of years and we are pleased that he has decided to join us for his next chapter. He is someone that can play across the attacking positions, so will add to our options in that department."
