The final third tier places have now been confirmed and Posh fans, if you attend all away games, you will travel roughly 4,794 miles, an average of 208 miles per trip. Last season’s travelling distance for 23 away trips was over 5,600 miles, an average of 243 miles per trip.

Here is the League One line-up for next season with travelling distances, stadium capacities and a ground rating. What trips are you most looking forward to?
Distances are AA measurements to the nearest mile from stadium to stadium. Ground information from the ‘Football Ground Guide.’

17. PLYMOUTH ARGYLE
HOME PARK. Capacity; 17,900. Distance: 282 miles. Ground rating: 8. The modernisation of the stadium has been a success. A well-supported club have a home which generates a fantastic atmosphere. Shame the away fans are stuffed in a corner of a stand behind a goal. Photo: HENRY NICHOLLS

18. READING
SELECT CAR LEASING STADIUM. Capacity: 24,161. Distance: 117 miles. Ground rating: 8. Premier League football has been hosted comfortably at a stadium that is easy to get to and offers ample parking. It's a decent-sized modern facility. Photo: Pete Norton

19. SHEFFIELD WEDNESDAY
HILLSBOROUGH STADIUM. Capacity: 34,835. Distance: 103 miles. Ground rating: 8. One of the oldest grounds in the country, and in some parts it shows. It's full of character though. The atmosphere at the old place on that fateful Posh night in 2023 was one of the best I've experienced at an away ground. I was terrified in the press box so no wonder the players performed like they were as well. Photo: Nathan Stirk

20. STEVENAGE
LAMEX STADIUM. Capacity: 7,318. Distance: 53 miles. Ground rating: 6. Another ground where the capacity is unnecessarily large given the level of support. The atmosphere can be good there, but the style of football can be counter-productive. Photo: Catherine Ivill
