There’s every chance Posh fans will get a first glimpse of new strikers Jacob Wakeling and Malik Mothersille, plus new defender Zak Sturge can be expected to start after his encouraging debut against Portsmouth last weekend.
Here’s the PT team to play Cambridge, a game that carries a 7pm kick off.
9. DAVID AJIBOYE
The right winger did well at Portsmouth twice last week, the second time as a substitute. He deserves a start on the right hand side of the Posh attack. If he does well it will give Posh the chance to play Kwame Poku in the 10 role in the future. Photo: Joe Dent
10. JACOB WAKELING
The centre forward role should be taken by Wakeling (pictured, right) or Malik Mothersille (left). They'll be desperate to impress on debut. They should both see game time as Posh need to keep preparing for a future without Jonson Clarke-Harris. Photo: Joe Dent
11. EPHRON MASON-CLARK
The captain hasn't reached the levels of last season yet. He could do with a strong performance and a goal. Photo: David Lowndes
12. THE SUBS
They should include Joel Randall (pictured), who could get a go on the wing, Malik Mothersille or Jacob Wakeling and Kwame Poku (to have a run out at number 10). Photo: Joe Dent
