Former Peterborough United man in injury horror, mixed fortunes for other club old boys
Former Peterborough United striker Jack Marriott has suffered a horrible injury.
Marriott missed Wrexham’s 1-0 win at Rotherham United on Saturday after a collision in training left him with a broken fibula. He could be out for four months, but his replacement Paul Mullin won the day in South Yorkshire with a goal after just 16 seconds!

Dwight Gayle scored his first goal for Hibernian at Dundee United in a Scottish Premiership game, but the hosts scored twice in added time to win 3-2. Hibs are now bottom after a first win of the season for Edinburgh rivals Hearts, 4-0 at home to St Mirren in Neil Critchley’s first game as manager. Frankie Kent played 90 minutes for Hearts.
Ephron Mason-Clark didn’t come on for Coventry in a 1-0 Championship defeat at Preston North End and Ronnie Edwards was nowhere to be seen as Southampton went down 3-2 at home to Leicester City in the Premier League. Jack Taylor and Sammie Szmodics both came on for 20 minutes as Ipswich Town went down 2-0 at home to Everton.
Josh Knight was an unused sub for Hannover 96 in a 1-0 Bundesliga 2 win at home to Schalke. Hannover are fifth.
Joe Tomlinson scored an early penalty as MK Dons won 3-1 at Morecambe in League Two.
Junior Morias scored for Dagenham & Redbridge in a 4-0 win over Fylde in the National League. On-loan Posh defender Romoney Crichlow played 90 minutes for the Daggers. Andrew Oluwabori scored the only goal of the game for Halifax at Boston United in the very first minute.
