Ephron Mason-Clark didn’t come on for Coventry in a 1-0 Championship defeat at Preston North End and Ronnie Edwards was nowhere to be seen as Southampton went down 3-2 at home to Leicester City in the Premier League. Jack Taylor and Sammie Szmodics both came on for 20 minutes as Ipswich Town went down 2-0 at home to Everton.
Josh Knight was an unused sub for Hannover 96 in a 1-0 Bundesliga 2 win at home to Schalke. Hannover are fifth.
Joe Tomlinson scored an early penalty as MK Dons won 3-1 at Morecambe in League Two.
Junior Morias scored for Dagenham & Redbridge in a 4-0 win over Fylde in the National League. On-loan Posh defender Romoney Crichlow played 90 minutes for the Daggers. Andrew Oluwabori scored the only goal of the game for Halifax at Boston United in the very first minute.
