The season is not expected to resume until July at the earliest following the latest advice from the EFL and the UK Government.

FA Chairman Greg Clarke even suggested this week the current season might never finish.

But Kent, who has just recovered from a knee injury, insists the team will stay focused on winning promotion during their time in isolation.

“We have got ourselves in a great position,” Kent stated. “And we don’t want to waste it. Obviously there are other things to worry about right now, but we will stay focused. We won’t take anything for granted, but we want this season to finish.

“We want to finish the job off. If anything the break will make us more determined.”
