Ex-Peterborough United youngster released after embarrassing red card, strikers damage MK Dons title bid, late World Cup Finals bid for top-class winger
Former Posh youngster Tyler Winters has been sacked by AFC Rushden & Diamonds after he was involved in a bizarre double sending-off last weekend.
The forward, who has also had spells at Peterborough Sports and Spalding United, was sent off alongside team-mate Bruno Andrade playing for Diamonds at Loughborough Students in a Northern Premier Midlands Division match.

The pair had what manager Elliott Sandy described as a ‘coming together’ after a disagreement with an assistant referee claiming ’hands were involved’ and both were sent off leaving Diamonds to play 80 minutes with nine me. They lost 3-0 to a team battling alongside Bourne Town to avoid relegation.
Andrade has also now been released by the club.
Winters (20) has also been playing in the heavily-promoted Baller League on Sky Sports.
Winters, who never played a senior game for Posh, issued a statement saying: “To the AFC Rushden & Diamonds fans, staff, players I want to thank you for an incredible season and your support has been unbelievable.
"Things happen. I tried to remove myself from the situation long before the red, but got told to carry on. I wish you the best for the rest of the season."
Sandy said: "They have let themselves down, they have let the club down, they have let their teammates down and it is just so disappointing. It is inexcusable really, I have never had anything like that in football.”
