Demanding Peterborough United chief seeks a win double in 2020-21

Peterborough United co-owner Darragh MacAnthony is happy to pile the pressure on his manager and players by expecting them to win a title and the Leasing.com Trophy next season.

MacAthony has dubbed the 2020-21 League One season ‘The Vengeance Tour’ to make up for the disappointing end to last season and he clearly means business.

“My expectations have doubled for next season,” MacAnthony said on his ‘Hard Truth’ podcast.

“I want the title and the Football League Trophy.

“We don’t set out to fail. We don’t set out to finish mid-table. We play to win. Go big or go home.

“Do I put pressure on the people around me? Yes I do and I don’t regret it.”

Posh have not finished in the League One play-off places in any of the last six seasons.
