Defenders absent again as unbeaten Peterborough United take a Saturday trip to Boston United
Peterborough United travel to National League side Boston United for a friendly on Saturday (3pm kick off).
The teams also clashed at the Jakeman’s Community Stadium last season when an early Gustav Lindgren goal settled the match in favour of Posh.

Boston, who finished a creditable 12th in the National League last term, have changed manager since then with the vastly experienced Paul Hurst replacing Graham Coughlan. Hurst signed 22 year-old Jake Rooney earlier this week after the cousin of Wayne Rooney abandoned a trial at higher level Northampton Town. Rooney was released by Derby County at the end of last season.
Posh, who are unbeaten in four pre-season games, are expected to field the same squad of players that won at League Two Colchester United on Tuesday night which means no minutes again for long-term injury victims Rio Adebisi, Tom O’Connor and Sam Hughes. Transfer-listed winger Declan Frith won’t be involved either because of a broken foot while centre-back George Nevett is out with a wrist injury.

There has been no word yet from the club about the presence of released Leicester City winger Wanya Marçal who played as atrialist for a young Posh team at Peterborough Sports on Wednesday.
Tickets are on sale via the Boston United Ticket Office priced at £12 for adults, £8 for concessions and £4 for Under 16s. Purchase them here
Posh+ subscribers will be able to watch the game as part of their package, while match passes will also be available for £5 from Friday evening.
Posh also have pre-season matches scheduled at League Two York City on Tuesday, July 28 (7.45pm) and at home to Championship side West Bromwich Albion on Saturday, August 1 (3pm).
Season ticket holders seats for the Baggies match are being reserved until midnight Sunday. Advance prices are available until midnight on Wednesday, July 29.
