Crewe Alexandra manager not surprised his team beat the League One leaders
Crewe, who started the day in 18th place, ran out comfortable 2-0 winners over Peterborough United, scoring twice in the first-half and then keeping the expensively-assembled visiting foward line at bay with ease in the second half.
Artell reckons a result liks this had been coming.
“We at last scored the goals that matched the performance,” Artell enthused. “We could have won our most recent League One games 3,4 or 5-0, but we lost them all 1-0.

“I can only remember a pot shot from 30 yards against us. They certainly didn’t open us up which was pleasing against a decent team. They are top because they have good players, but then so do we. We had the fourth best defensive record in the league before this game.
“We’ve had a very hard start to the season. We’ve played all the top sides and we’ve competed well against them all.”
