Posh have been keen to get games into Tasdemir (20) who has started just one League One match for the club since his move from Fylde in July 2019. Tasdemir trained with Salford City last week, but the League Two promotion chasers didn’t offer him a deal.

“Playing games in League Two would be a big part in the next stage of Serhat’s development,” Posh manager Darren Ferguson stated last week.

Tasdemir is an Azerbaijani youth international who has made 20 appearances in total for Posh, scoring one goal, against West Ham under 21s in the EFL Trophy earlier on December 8 which was the last time he made a first-team appearance.

Oldham are managed by former Premier League star Harry Kewell. They are currently 12th in League Two.
