1. Wednesday's Wigan enquiry
Sheffield Wednesday have made ‘tentative enquiries’ over the permanent signing of Josh Windass. The midfielder spent time on loan at the club last season and could be available for a knockdown price this summer from Wigan Athletic. The Owls are expected to face competition for his signature. 2. No bids for Pompey star
Portsmouth boss Kenny Jackett has confirmed the club have received no bids for goalkeeper Alex Bass. He has impressed at Pompey since taking over the No.1 spot and is a target for both Middlesbrough and Crystal Palace. (The News)

3. No Celtic deal for Toney as Derby join race
It appears Celtic are no longer in the running for Peterborough United striker Ivan Toney. The Scottish champions boss Neil Lennon has confirmed talks with Steven Fletcher and Albian Ajeti. Derby County have entered the race to sign the player alongside rivals Nottingham Forest. With Brentford also keen it could lead to a bidding war. (Mirror)

4. Storey sends confident Sunderland message
Proposed Sunderland buyer William Storey sent a confident message on his takeover plans on Twitter. After being questioned about not having the plans and funds, Storey said he had both and that he looks forward to people “enjoying the product on the pitch”.
