The match was originally scheduled for Saturday, March 13. Pompey will instead play Salford City in last season’s EFL Trophy Final at Wembley on that day, a game held over because of the coronavirus crisis.

The winners of that game will hold the Trophy for one day as the 2020-21 final will take place on Sunday, March 14, also at Wembley.

Posh have also moved their home League One match with another promotion rival, Doncaster Rovers to Tuesday, April 27 (7pm) from Tuesday, March 23. This game was originally due to take place on January 2, but was postponed because of positive Covid tests in the Rovers camp.

March 23 is part of a scheduled international break and Doncaster are expected to have multiple call-ups so the game has been re-scheduled now.

Two of the last three Posh matches of the season will now be against Doncaster. The teams are due to meet at the Keepmoat Stadium on the final day of the regular season, Saturday, May 8.
