Apart from a stunning goal, it wasn’t a pretty Peterborough United performance at the Weston Homes Stadium today (November 23), but there were some qualities worth admiring.

Posh defended well against a decent Burton side and and an understrength team worked tirelessly to earn their 1-0 win.

This was much better from the promising centre-back. Competed well, made a couple of key tackles, won his headers, read the game well. A strong display.

Strangely the midfielder was better at winning possession than keeping it. Can't fault his effort levels though. He was relentless with his workrate all game.

Worth a top mark for his goal alone. He needs to realise how good he is when he just plays positively. He's still far too safe in possession, but his pace enabled him to defend Burton's dangerous breaks well.

Ran himself into the ground. It was hard against a neat-passing side, but the 17 year-old let no-one down before his late substitution.
