A striker Peterborough United chased hard without success last summer is now available again
A £500k striker hotly pursued by Peterborough United last summer is now available to move on loan to a League One club.
Posh reportedly bid £500k for St Johnstone forward Makenzie Kirk less than 12 months ago, but the 22 year-old opted to move to Championship club Portsmouth instead.

It was a decision that irritated Posh chairman Darragh MacAnthony. He was disappointed Kirk ‘chose to sit on the bench at a Championship club rather than play regularly in League One.’
And MacAnthony proved to be spot on. Kirk started just four Championship games for Pompey last season, while making 10 further appearances from the bench. He scored just one goal in the final minute of a 2-1 home loss at the hands of Coventry City.
Pompey are now keen on Kirk continuing his English football education on loan in League One, according to the Portsmouth News.
MacAnthony is never keen on loaning forwards, but he did sanction the presence of Chelsea attacker JJ Morgan at London Road last season. Morgan has now departed with no prospect of a return to London Road.
Posh have just one main striker in Harry Leonard. The other two forwards in the current squad are rookies Pemi Aderoju and David Kamara.
