A grim day for Peterborough United who drop to fifth as League One results go against them


Posh were without a fixture and watched the top three Rotherham (2-1 at Accrington), Coventry City (2-1 at Rochdale) and Wycombe Wanderers (3-1 v Tranmere) all win to move further clear. Former Posh striker Matt Godden scored the decisive goal for Coventry.
Sunderland also beat Bristol Rovers 3-0 at the Stadium of Light to move above Posh into fourth.

Hide AdPosh are currently fifth, but coul drop out of the top six on Tuesday (April 25) if the results of Sunderland v Fleetwood and Portsmouth v MK Dons go against them.
Fleetwood beat Pompey 1-0 today to move a point behind Posh with two games in hand. Portsmouth are two points behind Posh with two games in hand.
The other big play-off battle today was won 1-0 by Oxford at Ipswich. Oxford host Accrington on Tuesday when a win would them to within a point of Posh.
Posh are five points behind the top two, Coventry and Rotherham, who meet at St Andrews on Tuesday.

Hide AdPosh are next in action at Burton Albion next Saturday (February 29).
Other play-off candidates Gillingham (0-0 at Lincoln) and Doncaster (0-1) at Shrewsbury suffered poor results.
