Peterborough United pair in the running for August League One awards
As expected Evans was revealed as one of four candidates for the prize this morning (September 5).
Posh won all five August League One fixtures scoring 15 goals to open up a lead at the top of the table.

Hide AdEvans’ rivals are Kenny Jackett (Portsmouth), Jack Ross (Sunderland) and Dean Keates (Walsall). The winner will be unveiled on Friday morning (September 7).
And it could be a double celebration as Posh striker Jason Cummings is up for the August player-of-the-month prize after scoring six goals and contributing three assists.
Cummings’ rivals are Barnsley full-back Dimitri Cavare, Portsmouth striker Ronan Curtis and Sunderland winger Lynden Gooch. This award will also be announced on Friday morning.
