Peterborough United legend set to play at Yaxley FC along with another former Posh striker

Peterborough United legend Craig Mackail-Smith is expected to play against Yaxley FC at the In2itive Park Stadium tomorrow (October 24, 3pm).

Mackail-Smith has recently joined Bedford Town who take on the Cuckoos in a Southern League Division One Central match. Mackail-Smith (36) came on as a second-half substitute in Bedford’s 1-0 FA Trophy win at Spalding United last weekend. Former Posh centre-forward Rene Howe is also in the Bedford squad.

Howe scored one goal in 18 Posh appearances (15 as a sub) in the 2007-08 season.

Peterborough Sports have no Premier Division Central fixture as one of their players recently tested positive for the coronavirus.
