Peterborough United are done and dusted in the summer transfer market according to chairman Darragh MacAnthony.

Today (August 31) is transfer deadline day for loan deals but MacAnthony said on Twitter last night that it will be a quiet day for Posh.

There have been 17 new arrivals at the ABAX Stadium this summer and that looked like becoming 18 yesterday.

But, according to MacAnthony, the deal fell through.

He said: “One was done. Medical, player contract signed, deal all agreed. Then the selling club emailed last minute and cancelled the whole deal and pulled the poor player back. Never seen anything like it. We move on. No more signings. We’re done for the summer ins and outs.”
