The Premier Division Central home game with St Ives next Saturday (October 24) and the trip to Nuneaton Borough on October 27 are expected to be called off with Sports returning to action in the FA Trophy on October 31.

Sports chairman Grant Biddle said: “This has been a difficult season and with the worsening situation generally it was perhaps inevitable, but one of our first team squad has tested positive and therefore our season is likely to come to a temporary halt. We are liaising with the league and other clubs involved.

“We are 99% sure the St Ives game will be off and the Nuneaton game must be in doubt.”

Sports climbed up to fifth in the Premier Division yesterday (October 17) with a 4-1 win at Leiston.
