Peterborough Sports are closing in on a full team of formed Stamford AFC players.
Versatile defender Charlie Marzano made the switch from the Zeeco Stadium to PIMS Park on Thursday to reunite with his former Stamford boss Graham Drury. He had been playing for Sports in pre-season as a trialist.

Marzano spent the previous two seasons with ‘The Daniels’ and has also played for Ilkeston Town, Eastwood, Quorn, Rushden & Diamonds and Kettering Town.
“It feels really good to get it over the line," Marzano told the Sports media team. “Obviously, I’ve been involved throughout pre-season but can’t wait to officially get going now.
“The aim is to get the club back where they belong in the league above. It’s something I want to do as I’ve not played that level before.”
Drury added: “Charlie can cover so many positions. He’s an important asset to have in the camp. He’s a quick player and will work incredibly hard for the team.”
