The city stars went down 1-0 to the Dorset County League at Sherborne FC in a game marred by strong winds.

The only goal of the game arrived in the first half.

The PDFL had the elements at their back in the second-half, but failed to turn dominance into goals.

The step four games involving Yaxley and Stamford AFC were postponed yesterday. Yaxley remain just three points outside the play-off places in Division One Central of the Southern League, while Stamford are still second and eight points behind leaders Leek Town, who were beaten at Ilkeston, in the South East Division of the Northern Premier League.

There was a big win at the bottom of that South East Division as goals from Jordan Macleod and Layton Maddison in the final 10 minutes enabled Wisbech Town to overturn a half-time deficit to win 2-1 at Lincoln United and move off the bottom. It was a first win for new manager Brett Whaley.

It was a stormy old day in the United Counties League both on and off the pitch. Leicester Nirvana saw THREE players sent off in their 2-0 Premier Division defeat at Holbeach United and Lutterworth Town saw one red card in their 3-3 draw at Deeping Rangers, but the visitors found their third equaliser while playing with 10 men.

St Andrews and Bourne Town both finished with 10 men in their Division One clash which the visitors to the Abbey Lawns won 1-0.
