Netherton United were the inactive ones as Thorney pulled out on the morning of the game. Holidays and injuries were blamed for Thorney’s decision, but the club believe they will be able to field teams in the future.

Peterborough Sports Reserves, who have assembled a powerful squad this term, were beaten 5-4 at PSL by Langtoft United for whom Scott Spearink scored four times.

Much is expected of Pinchbeck United this season, but they blew a 2-0 lead given them by Ash Murrell and Brad Murrell and had to settle for a point at Sawtry, while reigning champions Moulton Harrox dropped points for the first time, after two 5-0 wins, in a 1-1 draw at ICA Sports.

The city side equalised five minutes from time through Conor Pridmore, but felt they would have won but for an outstanding goalkeeping performance from Lee Kenealy. Harrox scored their goal from the penalty spot.
