The prolific marksman played in the Premier Division for Thomas Cook, Perkins, Moulton Harrox & Eye between 1990-2003.
He also captained the successful Peter Pan side who dominated Peterborough Sunday Morning League football during the 1990s.
“I was also renowned for the mumber of penalties I won!” Paul stated.
Paul has selected his all-star Peterborough League side in a 3-5-2 formation using versatile and aggressive players.
His substitutes are Lee Davidson, Darren Bradley and Dean Tarrent.

Goalkeeper: GARY HOOKE: “Big, strong & dominant and I saw him make some unbelievable saves. Could take a mean penalty as well as save them. Scored a last minute equaliser once when coming up for a corner. Disciplinary issues held him back from playing at a much higher level, but I always felt confident with ‘Hooky’ between the sticks.”

Right centre-back: ALEX BROWN: “I’ve gone with two uncompromising centre-backs either side of star defender Ian Rudd. They are all proper defenders though. Alex was strong, tough (as a forward you would often get greeted by an early ‘reducer’) & excellent in the air. He had a never-say-die attitude & great leadership qualities.”

Central defender: IAN RUDD: “I played against ‘Ruddy’ countless times & very rarely got the better of him. Ian was never the quickest, but he had an uncanny ability to read the game & snuff out danger. He was the Franz Beckenbauer of the Peterbough League as he was very comfortable on the ball and would often carry it into the midfield before picking a pass. Another great leader.”

Left centre-back: STEVE ZENCHUCK: “Played for Posh in goal as a 17 year old but ‘Zenny’ was usually found at centre back in the Peterborough League (but was always great as a back up keeper). Hard as nails, he would kick you for fun in training & would just ignore you if you were brave enough to try to wind him up. Great left foot and dangerous in the air.“ Extra note: Zenchuk replaced David Seaman in the Posh goal for his one and only appearance (a 2-1 Division Four win at Blackpool in 1983) for his only professional club.
