New signing for Peterborough Sports and stalwart stays on at PIMS Park for a 10th season

Peterborough Sports have signed midfielder Sam McLintock for the 2025-26 National League North season.

The 24 year-old finished last season at lower level Kettering Town. He has previously played for Rugby Town, Atherstone Town, Coleshill Town, AFC Telford United, Alvechurch, FC Halifax Town, Stalybridge Celtic, Boston United, and Rushall Olympic.

Sports stalwart Mark Jones has also signed another deal with Sports. It will the centre forward’s 10th season with the city club.

Jones said: “I’m delighted to be going in to my 10th season with Sports. It’s been quite the journey and one i’m extremely happy to continue on for another season.”

One of last season’s Sports’ stars, defender Eliot Putman, has dropped down a level to play for Harborough Town.
