National title for City of Peterborough Futsal Club teenagers
City of Peterborough Futsal Club have celebrated a national title win.
The club’s under 16 team came through some tough opposition to land the prize. They beat Sala Futsal Club from Manchester 7-3 in the final of an event played at Repton School in Derbyshire.

A club spokesperson said: “The Under-16 boys have grown tremendously over the last 12 months, both as players and as young men, and it has been fantastic to watch their development on and off the court as individuals and as a team. Many of these boys have been with us since the age of 6, so it’s hard to believe this will be their final youth futsal competition in England.
"We are incredibly proud of everything they have achieved as they move into senior futsal next season to continue their journey and development. They have become outstanding futsal players and ambassadors for the club, and we couldn’t be prouder of them.”
The winning squad was captained by Ollie Desborough. The rest of the squad was: Richard Hendrick, Eddie Thomas, Zach Liggins, Nojus Klimas, Cameron Patel, Alexander Romaniuk, Luca Del Conte, Ryan Lillie and Oluwasegun Olofinjana.
