It’s now three draws and a defeat from four matches for Jimmy Dean’s men. They took the lead at the Bee Arena through in-form Josh Moreman early in the game, but the visitors equalised from the penalty spot before the break and there was no further scoring in front of a crowd of 178.

Yaxley’s scheduled game in Division One Central at Daventry Town was postponed because of a waterlogged pitch.

Tom Siddons scored twice as unbeaten Stamford AFC came from behind to thump Lincoln United 5-1 in the South East Division of the Northern Premier League, but Spalding United and Wisbech Town were both beaten. Wisbech are rooted to the foot of the table after four straight defeats.

In Division One of the United Counties League, Blackstones came from 2-0 down to draw 2-2 at Bourne Town thanks to goals from new signing Lewis Leckie and an 87th-minute goal from Harry Fitzjohn.

A Danny Horton penalty and a Kieran Cummings goal had given Bourne a 2-0 lead inside 20 minutes.

Whittlesey Athletic play at Huntingdon Town tonight (October 7).
