Posh chairman Darragh MacAnthony made the revelation while chatting to the club’s fans on Twitter last night.

Miller had been given a month to make his mark at Posh after returning to the squad following a court appearance at the end of November.

Those off-field issues and a six-game ban at the start of the current season have helped restrict Miller to just five game this season. The 28 year-old has yet to score for the club since his free transfer move from Dover in the summer.

MacAnthony also disclosed key midfielder Gwion Edwards’s ankle injury is not as bad as first feared. Edwards limped out of Sunday’s 3-2 win at Fleetwood in the eighth minute, but he could be back in action over the busy Christmas period.
