Junior Daniels visit Leicester City
A young football team from Stamford enjoyed a trip to the Leicester City Academy this week.
Stamford Under 7s were invited to take part in a round robin mini tournament at Premier League champions Leicester City’s state of the art training academy.
Six teams took part including two from Leicester’s Academy. They played five 15-minutes six-a-side games in the club’s indoor 3G facility.
Under 7 manager Ian Edwards said: “The players enjoyed the opportunity to play against some very good teams at the Leicester City Under 7 tournament. They showed great attitude and commitment. I am incredibly encouraged by their continued development and progress.”
