It's a Christmas cracker as Daniel fires Stanground home

Stanground took a giant stride towards winning the Junior Alliance League Under 12 Division Four title on Sunday when winning the top-of-the-table clash against Spalding Orange.

Stanground took the honours 5-3 to open up a three-point lead over their main rivals with five games each left to go.

Danny Christmas was the Stanground hero netting three of their goals - two of them from the penalty spot.

Ali Mavani got the other two with Jacob Foster, Matthew Oddie and William Smith replying for Spalding.

Deeping Blue have gone nine points clear at the top of Under 12 Division One after an 8-1 win over Holbeach. Harry Barsby helped himself to three of the goals and Shane Bointon fired a double.

In Under 14 Division One there’s no stopping the high-flying Wasps.

The unbeaten table-toppers preserved their 100 per cent record with a 13-0 thrashing of March Rangers.

Star goal-getter Conor Bell hit four of the goals to take his tally for the season to 32 and there were doubles for Taylor Horne, George Warrington and Tychique Muendo.

Wasps lead the way by five points from Gunthorpe Navy, who were 8-1 winners over Blackstones with Sam Bayly hitting a hat-trick.

In Under 14 Division Two, March Soccer School stretched their lead at the top to eight points with a 5-0 victory over Deeping Amber. Their scorers were Alfie Asher (2), Alex Redhead, Jordan Palmby and Daniel Harradine.

Under 13 Division One title favourites Alconbury were the biggest winners of the day on Sunday.

They hit a sweet 16 against Hampton Royal with Bailey Baker claiming five of them and Harrison Radwell four. Radwell has now struck 51 times this season in 14 games.

The 16-1 win keeps Alconbury five points clear of Hampton Blue, who were 6-2 winners against Feeder.

Colsterworth took the honours 4-3 in the top-of-the-table clash against Netherton Phoenix in Under 13 Division Two.

In Under 13 Division Four Park Farm Black made it a perfect 10 wins from 10 games with a 3-2 success over Netherton Hawks..
