Bourne Town beat Blackstones in brilliant FA Vase tie and great days for Spalding United and Stamford AFC in the Southern League
and on Freeview 262 or Freely 565
It all looked like going to the formbook when United Counties Premier Division side Bourne took a 13th minute lead in a second qualifying round tie through Jack Wilson, but Division One Stones levelled through Edmunds Grunsteins on the half hour and took a shock lead two minutes into the second-half through Nathan Rudman. But, crucially, the hosts only held their lead for 12 minutes when Will Bird equalised and Zak Munton and Wilson scored in the final quarter to send Bourne through to Monday’s draw.
Joining them will be March Town, who beat Mulbarton Wanderers 3-0, Yaxley who pipped Kirkley & Pakefield 4-3 and Holbeach United won won 4-1 on penalties are Shirebrook after a 1-1 draw. Josh Simpson was in fine form in the Holbeach goal. The Tigers had led in the tie with a second minute penalty from Sam Carter.

SOUTHERN LEAGUE
It was a perfect afternoon for Stamford AFC and Spalding United in the Premier Division Central. The Daniels went back to the top of the table after winning 1-0 at previous leaders Alvechurch, while the Tulips beat fellow strugglers Biggleswade Town 3-2 at home.
Will Glennon grabbed the only goal of the game for Stamford 15 minutes from time with a deft header from a Connor Bartle cross. Glenn Walker struck the winner for Spalding at a similar time of their game to end a run of six straight league defeats. Former Peterborough United youngster Tyler Winters and Lewis Hilliard also netted as Spalding claimed just a second win of the season.
Third-from bottom Spalding host fifth-from-bottom Lowestoft on Tuesday when Stamford face a tough test at fourth-placed Kettering Town.
