A new era has dawned at Yaxley FC after fresh committee is formed
There’s a new era under way at Yaxley FC.
The club have received plenty of negative publicity this season and all teams suffered a suspension for a week as financial issues were investigated by the Hunts FA.

Those issues have now been resolved and a new committee has been installed featuring former club chairman Jeff Lenton as president and Dee Walker as chairperson.
The club are keen to bolster community relations and are offering local schoolchildren the chance to attend a United Counties League home game against Lutterworth Town with a parent for just £5.
A club statement issued on Thursday night read: ‘Yaxley Football Club are delighted to announce the appointment of a new committee. The first official committee meeting took place last night, marking the beginning of an exciting new chapter for the club. ‘In recent months, we were saddened by the negativity surrounding the club ahead of the AGM. However, with a new committee in place, we are embracing this as a fresh start — a chance to rebuild, reconnect, and refocus on what truly matters, namely providing the best possible football experience for all our members, players, and supporters. ‘To provide clarity, Yaxley Football Club is made up solely of the members from our junior and senior football sections. We are not responsible for pitch bookings, clubhouse bookings, or the overall running of the facility. Our only sources of income are matchday entrance fees and sponsorship for first-team home games. ‘Because of this, we rely heavily on the incredible support, sponsorship, and dedication of our volunteers. Without this ongoing commitment, Yaxley Football Club simply would not be here for our local children and adults to enjoy. ‘As a new committee, we are committed to strengthening community ties and will be actively seeking local support, sponsorship, and new ideas to help grow Yaxley Football Club into a proud and vibrant part of village life. ‘To celebrate this new beginning, we’re inviting all children from Year 6 and below from the following local schools to join us for our home match on Saturday, December 6 (3pm kick off): Yaxley Infants, William de Yaxley, Fourfields, Holme Primary, Stilton C of E, Little Acorns, Stretton Pre-School, Little Incredibles, Elton C of E, Farcet C of E, St John Henry Newman Catholic Primary, Hampton Lakes Primary, Hampton Vale, and Hampton Hargate. ‘All children from these schools, accompanied by a parent, can attend for just £5 entry. ‘We look forward to welcoming local families to cheer on the team and to be part of the new era of Yaxley Football Club. Together, we can make our club stronger than ever and ensure it remains a cornerstone of our community for years to come.’
