FIVES: Oundle School duo dominate Midlands Championships
Two Oundle School pupils cleaned up at the Midlands Fives Championships in Bedford recently.
Jeremy Manger (17) and Tom Barlow (18) won the senior doubles title, overcoming a Rugby School pair 15-5 in the final, and then in the singles Manger beat his doubles partner 2-1 in an all-Oundle final.
Master in charge of Fives, Mike Case, commented: “In recent months, both boys have worked tremendously hard to develop their game and I am delighted for them.”
Fives is a ball game played with hands or bat in a court with two, three or four walls.
